The SWEDSPAN Group
SWEDSPAN International s.r.o. is a subsidiary of SWEDSPAN Holding B.V. which is based in the Netherlands. SWEDSPAN International s.r.o. provides management and engineering services to the group's operational business units. The tasks of SWEDSPAN International s.r.o. include responsibility for product development, customer support and implementation of industrial processes at the Group's plants
In December 2008, SWEDSPAN acquired its first operational unit, the Giriu Bizonas particle board production plant in Kazlu Ruda/Lithuania. SWEDSPAN has also taken over Swedwood's particle board production sites in Hultsfred/Sweden, Malacky/Slovak Republic, and the Hultsfred Tech Centre. Today SWEDSPAN manages a installed capacity of 1,6 Mio m³ of particleboard, 14 Mio m² of foil coated boards and 6 Mio m² of melamine faced boards. Until end of August 2011, SWEDSPAN will also start a new state-of-the-art HDF plant in Orla, Eastern Poland.
